Gingerbread Houses

The kids made gingerbread houses this year.  I originally bought one kit for them to share.  Wisely, Jessie decided to purchase a second kit with her own money.  I think she knew that sharing one kit could be difficult for her and Jonathan.  It ended up working out really well.  Jonathan and Fred worked as a team on his gingerbread house.  Jess didn't need much help, but I did get to offer a little bit of assistance.

This is classic Jess.  Her cell phone is never far away.  She has been known to sleep with her phone!

The boys getting the walls of their house erected.

Jessie and her house.  She did a great job getting it built and put together.

Jessie's house.  Don't you love the nose on her gingerbread man?

Such detail on Jonathan's house!

This was the perfect family activity for a lazy Saturday afternoon.  Jess and I had to rush off to a church fireside.  I'm pretty sure that we both showed up with a little bit of icing in our hair.  Hopefully, no one noticed!
